Founded over 60 years ago, in 1961, the Setauket Volunteer Firemen's Benevolent Association Inc. was formed for 3 distinct purposes:

To maintain suitable headquarters for, and the promotion of, fraternal intercourse among the members of the Setauket Volunteer Firemen's Benevolent Association.
The relief, aid and assistance of such members and their families who are disabled or indigent.
The promotion of the welfare of the volunteer fire service within the Setauket Fire District and any territory or areas provided with fire protection by contract with such fire district.
